I've selected a few professional IT resume examples here to give you some idea of the strategies I use to tell my client's stories, and help them advance in their IT career path. IT Executive Resume Examples
CIO Sample Resume: Mal Reynolds
Mal's value proposition encompasses a range of abilities—including communication, negotiation, problem solving, M&A, and global leadership—all contributing to his ability to drive transformation. I've highlighted these core leadership skills in the summary. I highlighted some of his largest accomplishments just below, and then I go into detail on his work as CIO with Serenity.
CTO resume example: Phillip Marlowe
I've highlighted Phillip's core value proposition in the headline—I've then expanded on several of his unique abilities in the summary—including lateral thinking, creativity, and his focus on the user. All these are qualities that we uncovered in our interview; the worksheet / questionnaire based process of most professional IT resume writing services simply wouldn't have uncovered thes—but they're critical to Phillip's value.
CISO resume example: Maggie Walsh
It's critical, in any CISO resume, to show that the candidate isn't "Dr. No." That's why I focused in the summary on showing Maggie's alignment with business strategy and on her commitment to enabling business—not slowing it down. In the experience section, I highlighted the real results Maggie delivered to make things quicker and easier for users.
IT Leadership Resume Examples
IT Director Resume Sample: Kaylee Frye
In Kaylee's resume I highlighted her strategic vision, global experience, and ability to evangelize tech. I also demonstrated executive leadership's trust in her abilities by bring her selection to drive a major reorganization. This is something too often missed by other professional IT resume writing services—but these small details grab the reader's interest and show that Kaylee is someone who can parachute in and make a difference.
IT Manager Resume Sample: Derriel Book
Derriel, although titled IT manager, is working at a higher level for Southdown. That's why I stressed his broader leadership responsibilities—as well as his major initiatives. I also highlighted is advocacy of tech with senior leadership and his strong abilities to communicate at all levels of the organization.
Data Architect Resume Sample: Jarvis Lorry
Like any great architect, Jarvis works equally effectively with executives, with business leaders, and with technical professionals—and that builds the trust that's critical for a data architect to succeed. In addition, Jarvis gets things done quickly, painlessly, and fast—all skills that I've underlined, and all critical abilities that make him a desirable candidate as he moves up in his IT career path.

Cloud Engineer Resume Example: Rick Deckard
Rick's career is highly-technical, and I've included a fair amount of detail on that—but I've also written about his strong interpersonal and communication skills. It's very easy to overlook those in the resume of a technology individual contributor—but at every career level, the ability to work with others, to show empathy, to not simply behave like an an android makes a huge difference in delivering technical initiatives.
Senior Systems Engineer Resume Example: Ishmael
Ishmael has done a lot in his tenure with Pequod, so I've focused on his many strong, quantifiable results. Ishmael gets the job done; he takes great pride in that—and that has delivered real value to Pequod. His ability to deliver major initiatives ahead of schedule, to provide clear cost savings, and to work across a massive environment make him stand out—and I've focused on all these strengths to help him in his IT career path.
DevOps Engineer Resume Example: Matt Helm
Matt has a very broad role, and I've made a point of making that clear, both in the summary and in the body of his DevOps engineer resume. I've gone into detail on his technical skills, of course—they're crucial. But I've also focused on the real value, the real accomplishment that he's achieved to help The Wrecking Crew.
